Bend it like Beckham

Yesterday I went to my first Real Salt Lake game...and they just happened to be playing the LA Galaxy, which means David Beckham. I wanted to go to the game before I even knew who they were playing, but the tickets were selling fast, so it was quite an adventure to get the tickets and get into the game. But when we finally got in the game was amazing. We realized that our seats were on the last row of the North End zone, so we never sat down, we just stood up the whole time. I think that made it a little more fun too, I was forced to be stuck between two people and I could move around some. Surprisingly enough Real score twice in the first twenty minutes of the game, and since we were in the end zone it was like they were shooting right at us. It was pretty cool. For the first thirty minutes or so, I'll be honest I was not impressed with Beckham, he wasn't doing much, he would pick when he wanted to play and when he wanted to just stand around and look at everyone else working. Then that all changed, Beckham was able to get open and get off a clear shot, and it curved right into the side net of the goal. It was a thing of beauty, but it wasn't as nice as the next goal. Real fouled a Galaxy player about thirty yards away from the goal, but it was lined up right in front of the goal. Everyone in the stadium knew what was going to happen, Beckham walks over to stand by the ball, Real sets up like a seven man wall to try and stop it, but nothing could be done. Beckham sent it curving around the wall and into the goal, all of my friends were like "wow, he really can bend it." That was worth the price of the ticket right there, but now I want to go to some more games this summer. I had a ton of fun!!
