So about a month ago I got a very scary phone call. It was Sunday morning and my phone rang and some guy started talking and said he was the stake executive secretary. I just about peed in my pants when he said that and then he asked if I could meet with a member of the stake presidency. I had no clue what calling they could possibly be giving a single girl in a family stake. Turns out I got a calling that totally fit me; I'm a stake sports specialist. Which maybe sounds cool at first but really I am a score keeper at stake sports events. So right now the Elder's basketball league is going on, so I spend my Thursday nights watching grown men complaining about the refs. It would be really fun, but it is 6:00-10:00 every Thursday. I really hate that last game, I try to be in bed by 10:00 and now I don't get home until like 10:20, it really throws off my sleeping schedule. Good thing it is on Thursdays and I only have one more day left of the week.
Recently I have really wanted to play some basketball, so I'm really hoping they have a women's league this year. Last year we had a "pick up" league. If you want to play show up and play a pick up game. I don't do that, playing on a team that doesn't really know you at all is not my ideal of fun. Plus the chances of me getting hurt goes up like 100%.
