When something tragic happens, we often forget to think about those that survive, and always remember those that didn't. I'm no different, I think I can honestly say I have never truly given much thought to those that survived the attacks on 9/11, and what there life must be like. I would have massive guilt, I know I would. This video really made me think about those that survived and made it out of the buildings on that September day.
None of us are going to forget what happened on that day, but we do need to learn from it. My students were in third grade in 2001, they didn't have a clue of what was going on. I had just walked out of 11th grade English class, when a friend walked up to ask me if I knew what was going on. By the time I walked into my next class, the first tower had just collapsed. Heck, I was in high school, and I didn't completely understand what was going on, but I never want to forget.
