Students...oh how I love them

For some reason every year I've got a student that just has to give me a nickname. It's not always the kid you expect either, sometimes it is the quiet ones that come up with the best ones. My first nickname (that I can remember that is) was "Elkeezy." That is still one of my favorite I have to admit. After that, my second favorite would have to be "Elk-sweet." This year one of my students was trying to come up with a nickname for me on the THIRD day of class. He just walked into class and said he was going to call me "The Elk."' I told him that wasn't original enough so he kept thinking and came up with "Elkenilla" and Elkanono" to be honest I'm not sure on the spelling of the last two. I don't really care, I just think it is funny that kids are always trying to give me nicknames.
