Hottest August on Record

While I was still at school I would always joke around that I was so glad that I was going home to South Carolina for the hottest month of the year. For the for the first few weeks I was home it wasn't too bad. But for the last 17 days 13 of those days were over 100 degrees. And when I say over 100 they have not all been 101 many of those days were 105, I think 107 degrees is the highest it got though. This is the hottest August on record and so far the third hottest month in history. So I say again, "I'm so glad that I came home for the hottest month of the year." I usually do exaggerate, but this time I am telling the truth, it really is the hottest month of the year. Even though I say that I am so glad that I came home, I have had a lot of fun living in a free sauna everyday. You can go outside at 10:00 and it is still 95 degrees outside. I can't remember it ever really being this hot before, but I will be glad to leave the heat, not my family.
