I have had really nothing exciting going on in my life recently, besides both of my roommates getting engaged. So I'm surrounded by people who can talk about nothing besides getting married, which is not the greatest thing in the world when you are no where close to getting married yourself.
At school there is a new teacher that just had a baby and their were all kinds of complications with the birth. The baby had to be taken to another hospital and kept on life support. Today we found out that the baby passed away. This young family was a week away from insurance kicking in, and because she is so new she is not getting paid while she is gone. The school has been trying to raise money for the hospital bills which are going to enormous and now they have to worry about burying their first child. I always feel bad for people who have these trials in life, even though I don't know this lady, it seems more personal. I am trying to come up with incentives for my students to donate some money. If you have any ideas please let me know. I have been really impressed with my school taking it upon them self to help out a fellow teacher in these are times.
