Just Got Paid

Well I just got my first pay check. I don't think many more exciting things have happened than that. I have only been counting down until getting that check for that last six weeks. To celebrate I went to the movies and saw "Vantage Point" and if you haven't seen it, I would suggest it. It is one of the better action/suspense movies that have come out recently. Anyways, now the count down begins for my next paycheck, it is really unfair that teacher only get paid once a month. Well it will make me budget my money, but that is only good thing about it. I also completed my first parent teacher conferences this week, I had to sit their for six hours over two nights to meet with about 20 parents. I guess because so few parents came, I don't mind giving the students extra credit, I just didn't want to advertise that one. And because we had to work six extra hours this week, their was NO SCHOOL today. How amazing is that? I spent most of the time walking around looking for other teachers to talk to or I would listen in on conferences going on at the tables close to me. Sometimes they were pretty interesting, but most of them were about the cheerleaders and how many days are left until they go to Nationals. After I heard that story once it got pretty boring.
