I can die happy now...

I got to complete one of my dreams on July 5th. I'm kinda a weird person, and for as long as I can remember I have wanted to sing "God Save the King/Queen" at church around the 4th of July. I thought it would be super ironic and cool, most people just look at me and laugh when I tell them this. But every now and then I get the one person that sees the irony and understands why it would be so funny. Well the day after the 4th was a Sunday and in Relief Society we sang "God Save the King" for our opening hymn. I was soooooo happy, I even used it as my good news for the week. I was slightly disappointed because everyone said "King" instead of "Queen", but I guess I will live, it was still a great moment.

I have never sung that song in Sacrament Meeting, but I did have my girls sing it once in Young Women. Also, I had an FHE brother that made us sing it during Ward Prayer once...very funny...

also...my parents ward didn't even sing one single patriotic song on that Sunday! Can you believe that! Of all the unpatriotic things to do...
