Soccer Camp

After getting home from vacation, I had exactly four days home before I left for soccer camp. I was struggling to be excited about going to camp because it was in St. George. Now for those of you not familiar with Utah's geography, St. George is the south west part of the state---so right next to Nevada and Arizona (so really hot). We left school at 7:00 in the morning for the four and a half hour drive down to camp. After we get all checked in to our hotel and get our schedule we get ready for our first game. We had to play at 6:15 the first day and game time temp. was some where between 105-110 degrees. We had girls just dying after just a couple minutes of running around on the field. The rest of the week was not that hot, thank goodness, but most of the time it was above 100 degrees. In five days, we played 16 shortened games, but the girls were just exhausted by Friday. When I got home 95 degrees felt really nice, so I guess that is one thing to be thankful for and the fact that I survived the whole week....
